Salesforce system review
For companies taking over a system from a previous vendor, or wanting to know what state it is in before commissioning further changes. A report with a list of things to fix, most dangerous first.
What I check
Configuration
Objects, fields, layouts, validation rules. What is used, what is dead, what is duplicated.
Automations
Flow, Process Builder, Workflow Rules, Apex triggers. Conflicts, loops, automations Salesforce is retiring.
Apex code and components
Test coverage, platform limits, classes without permission checks, credentials in code, errors in the logs.
Integrations
Connected Apps, tokens, Named Credentials, integrations that throw errors nobody knows about.
Permissions and users
Administrators, accounts of former employees, the sharing model, MFA, guest access.
Data
Duplicates, required fields that are empty “in theory”, records without an owner, storage limits.
Licences and costs
Who has which licence, who has not logged in for six months, what you pay for without using.
Salesforce releases
Features that will stop working in upcoming releases, and those worth switching on.
What you get
- A report with findings on three levels: fix now, fix this quarter, good to know.
- For each: what the risk is, how much work, whether you can do it yourselves.
- A quote for the fixes that need a developer.
- An inventory of the system: what is where, who is responsible for what, which integrations are running. The document the previous vendor usually does not leave behind.
- A call about the results with the decision-maker.
How it works
A call
What you are worried about, what is broken, what you are planning. 30 minutes.
Access
A named administrator account, for the duration of the review only.
The review
1 to 3 days of work, depending on the size of the org. No changes to the system.
Report and call
Report within a week of getting access. We go through it and decide what to fix and in what order.
Review versus the free audit
The free audit is 10 checks focused on permissions and AI, without access to the system, on a screen-sharing call. The review is a paid, full analysis of configuration, code, integrations and data, with administrator access and a system inventory. If you do not know where to start, start with the audit.
